Castrol Celica ST205 1995 Tour de Corse Model Diary
Day 1 / Day 2 / Day 3 / Day 4 / Finished Gallery

I drilled a hole for gas cover, which comes from after market photo etch parts.
Half scratch build engine room parts. Sorry I don't know its name.
Low down, brake and wheel modification:

This is a big task for the special designed ST205 model. The turning parts of the front wheels need the original brake disc to hold in a right position. But the tarmac rally car should have BIG brake disc! Therefore I can't use the street one. I cut two 3mm x 1mm plastic rod and put on top (and bottom) of the turning parts. Now it won't fall down even the disc was not put on. I cut the brake disc fixing parts too. Part of the spring was cut to accommodate the bigger wheels.

Plastic sheets was "recycle" from the cut out rear seat. This make the wheel exactly fit to car body and provide larger surface area to glue. I dislike the shape of the wheels from the transkit so I take the one from Tamiya Corolla WRC. Brake disc from there too.
Exhaust pipe was from Corolla WRC too. I gentle heat the pipe and the file to right shape. It looks not bad. :)

Rear wheel lowing are similar to the front one. (even easier!)

Decal was put on. I choose 95 TdC version as it was kind of unforgettable event for this Celica.
